Beach Vacation, Game Night

The first Monday of beach week has always been Game Night. The family gathers at Nonna and Pop-Pop's beach house for games and every year we have played different ones. This year Tom and Cortney brought Bingo which really is fun for the whole family! And to make it better, there were really awesome prizes to be won!

Uncle Tom, or "Uncle Crab" had a real deal BINGO set and everyone took their bingo cards very seriously.
I actually won a round. It was one of those eerie games where every number called was on my card and in a row. I think I won after the first six spaces were called. I got a girly girl pink purse for my prize. Lia claimed it as hers immediately.

I love this stair-step sibling picture of Bill and Kristen's kids. Aren't they beautiful!

The grown up game was Chronology and I would love to have this at home. Each card is an event in history with an associated date. As you collect cards, you have to put them in chronological order as the name suggests, but you don't have to know the exact date... you just have to know where the card should go in the order of events you already have. Like I might have Christopher Columbus discovers America (1492) and have to decide if Captain James Cook discovered Hawaii before or after that date.... or before or after the Boston Tea Party. It starts out easy but then gets harder as your events get closer and closer together. And yes, it can make you feel really stupid when you are off by like 500 years! The three braniacs at the table (Bill, Chris, Steven...) LOVED this game.
