Cousin Camp, Day 4 - Schiele Museum

As I blog about this vacation, I am starting to realize I need to pick up the pace... real life is occurring at our house (with things I'd like to post...) but I want to keep the blog in order. So, I guess I need to catch up to present time. That aside, the visit to the Schiele Museum was July 15. The majority of our family went to the White Water Rafting center in Charlotte which I would love to see... but since our gang is so young we will have to wait a few years for that. Instead, we went to the museum to see the Pirate Exhibit! Here are the girls in the lobby with T-Rex.
Big smiles.
At the pirate exhibit there were costumes so the kids could role play. David and Emily spent quite a bit of time playing. The look on David's face below is classic! It's as if he's saying, "I don't think that girl is qualified to be Captain... better let me steer!"

Love my little pirates!

The Schiele has some great exhibits. We love the evolution of man and the Indian exhibits. There are also extensive wildlife displays.... including this crocodile. Doesn't it just creep you out? Later that night, we were invited to Jamie and Kathy's house to celebrate Jamie's birthday. Here is a picture of him with his cake as our family sang Happy Birthay excruciating loud and horribly off-key in classic family tradition.
When we mention Uncle Jamie, Emily says she doesn't like it when he calls her "Emma-we." Too bad, because I think it stuck.
